Pictons Sponsor Cheddington Bowls Club Ladies Gala Event
Pictons, a leading regional and award winning law firm, having sponsored Cheddington Bowls Club last year, increased their commitment to the Club by sponsoring Cheddington’s annual Ladies Gala event this month. The Gala attracted bowlers from across Herts, Beds and Bucks.
Pictons has offices in Tring, Milton Keynes and Luton. Sukh Saini, the company’s Managing Partner says “We are delighted to have sponsored this popular event. We aim to support the local communities where our three offices are based and, as we have an office in Tring, the Cheddington Bowls Club Ladies Gala offered an ideal opportunity for us to give something back.”
Part of Pictons sponsorship funded the winner’s First Prize of £90.The Gala’s prizes were presented by Kelly Mercel (Wills Solicitor) and Siobhan Rooney (Partner, Family Solicitor & Mediator) from Pictons. Kelly and Siobhan thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.
Tony Duke, the club’s secretary says “We are really grateful to Pictons for sponsoring our Ladies Gala event. We very much appreciate Pictons’ generosity and the fun we have together, when Picton staff come and Give Bowls A Go. Sukh is quite a bowls fan. I understand that his interest in bowls goes back to his University days.
“Cheddington Bowls Club, known as ‘the friendly club’, is well respected in the bowling community. On the morning of Sunday September 11th a Cheddington mens team (12) will be playing Amersham in the final of the Bucks Plate Cup at Stoney Stratford. It is the first time in the club’s 33 year history that Cheddington has reached this far in the competition.
“The Club aims to build on this success and, with Pictons support, raise its profile further across the local community. The club already draws members in from Tring, Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard, as well as from the local villages. The future looks bright.”
