Pictons Sponsors The Luton and Dunstable District Netball League

As the Luton and Dunstable District Netball League celebrates it’s 60th anniversary year, Pictons is delighted to announce its sponsorship of this treasured community sports team.

The Luton, Dunstable & District Netball League was started in 1956 and was originally founded by local businesses. The League runs from September to June each year, with both league and divisional cup games taking place throughout.

Sukh Saini, Managing Partner of Pictons says “As soon as we were asked if we’d be interested in sponsoring the Luton and Dunstable District Netball League we agreed because we are happy as a company to support the local community through its charities or sporting organisations.

“I understand the Netball League is very competitive and I think it’s great that women continue to play their favourite sport often long after they’ve left school. It’s a great way to keep fit and also to socialise with the other members of the team. I wish them every success.”

Michelle Frost, who has recently been appointed Chair of the League says “When I took over I was charged with the task of pulling the local netball community together and to encourage new participants. I approached Pictons as I was aware that they undertook lots of work with other community organisations and they understand the benefits of helping our local community. They are also a reputable and professional firm who are generous with their time.

“Pictons immediately agreed to provide support and funding to the League which has been used to develop our League website enabling us to communicate more effectively with our community. Funding has also been used towards sponsoring a young player who has shown great promise on a local and national level. It’s great to have such a big player in the town take such an interest in their community”
