Pictons Sponsors WestFest Music Festival in Aid of Chums

Leading and award-winning regional law firm Pictons are one of the four main sponsors of this weekend’s #WestFest live music festival in aid of CHUMS, the Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Service for children and young people in Bedfordshire.

Pictons, winners of the FSB’s Bedfordshire Community Business of the Year, is committed to supporting local charities and community projects. Sukh Saini, the company’s Managing Partner says “We are aware of the many issues and challenges that young people face and CHUMS is a fantastic social enterprise which offers so many young people the help and support they need in Bedfordshire.”

CHUMS was set up in 1997 as a child bereavement organisation and has since grown and developed into the social enterprise it is today, encompassing the needs of children and young people affected by bereavement, trauma or other mental health difficulties. CHUMS now receives approximately 2500 referrals per year across its services and has over 45 staff and 70 volunteers.

Sarah Coulthard, the Fundraising Manager of CHUMS says “This year is a first for #WestFest and we are grateful to community oriented companies like Pictons who are willing to support us and sponsor our first live music event.

“We were offered the location for WestFest, Clayhill Farm in Westoning, by the generous owners who are CHUMS’ volunteers. The whole local community has really got involved and behind #WestFest and we think it’s going to a brilliant day out for everyone. We are expecting anything from 1000 people upwards and all the money raised from ticket sales and sponsorship will go towards our much needed services in Bedfordshire.”

Live music at #WestFest will be provided by The Rollin’ Clones; Rockface; Indi and The Vegas; Healyum; Tom Braggins; Holloway Road; Leon Bratt; Harry Pane; Ellis Jenart; Cat Delphi; The Purple and other live acts.

Tickets are just £10 for individuals and £30 for families. There will be food stalls and a licenced bar. Tickets can be obtained from www.westfest2016.com ahead of the event or can be purchased on the day at £15 for individual and £45 for families. #WestFest starts at 12midday and finishes at 11pm on Saturday 18^th June 2016, the address is Clayhill Farm, Westoning, MK45 5JD.
