Pictons Supports The Disability Resource Centre’s exciting new Employers Academy

Pictons will be supporting The Disability Resource Centre with the launch of an exciting new Academy for Employers on Thursday 19th June 2014, 8.30am – 10.00am at Poynters House in Dunstable.

Pictons, which has offices in Luton, Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes and Tring, will be represented at the launch by Aye Limbin Glassey, one of the firm’s Partners who heads the Employment dept and is based in Luton. Aye says “The Academy is a great initiative that is designed to support employers and employees in the area of disability. As Pictons’ role is often to legally clarify and educate local businesses, we will be a keynote speaker at some of the breakfast workshops covering a range of topics which affect employers including employment law and human relations.

Sandie Copp from the Disability Resource Centre says “We are so grateful to local community-minded companies like Pictons, who offer to help us as both an employer and as an advisor. At the launch event for the Academy, employers can come and meet the Health, Learning and Work Team at the Disability Resource Centre and find out how we are supporting local businesses and our community”

“They will learn how to transform the culture and skills mix of their businesses, and how to recruit and retain people with disabilities through a range of activities provided by the Academy, including free seminars such as those hosted by Pictons and other networking events. On June 19th, we will be joined by key stakeholders including local MPs, councillors, economic development representatives and employment law specialists such as Pictons.

A complimentary hot breakfast buffet will be provided, and to confirm your free place, please email Charlie O’Brien on charlotte.obrien@pictons.co.uk or call her on 01582 878504 before Thursday morning
