Pictons Team Supports Nationwide Carrots NightWalks For Eye Research
A team from the Clinical Negligence arm of Pictons Solicitors, is supporting the nationwide Carrots NightWalks on Friday September 20th to raise money for much needed eye research.
The Pictons specialist Clinical Negligence team, led by solicitor Carole Watts, also includes Rosaline Wong, and Karen Webster, who trained at Pictons and became a fully qualified solicitor in 2012.
Carole says “Pictons is a big supporter of charities and the local communities where it has a presence. When Rosaline, Karen and I heard about the Carrot NightWalk we were intrigued and discovered what a fantastic cause it is. We signed up and we’ll be doing the six miles NightWalk in London on the night of September 20th. “
The Carrots NightWalks are night-time sponsored walks, raising money for eye research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease. This year the Carrots NightWalks are taking place in Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow and London and walkers can choose between a 6 mile and a 15 mile city centre route. Participants will enjoy some spectacular night-time sights and be reminded just how much the ability to see is valued. Sight is the sense that people value the most, yet it’s often taken for granted. The NightWalks support Fight For Sight, pioneering eye research.
The Carrots NightWalks are also supporting National Eye Health Week, which runs from September 16th-22nd.
Carole concludes “It’s a fun idea for a great cause and we hope to raise lots of money for eye research. Rosaline, Karen and I are in training, especially by upping our intake of carrots so we get to see London at night at its very best!”
