Pictons To Participate In Milton Keynes Small Business Fortnight

Pictons Solicitors has been invited to participate in the Milton Keynes Small Business fortnight by presenting an employment law workshop on Thursday December 5th, between 10.00am-1.00pm which will be held at Milton Keynes College on the first floor of the Silbury Campus from 2nd-15th December.

Peggy Barnard from Pictons says “We will be running a workshop which will cover some key areas for small businesses: Recruitment and how to avoid discrimination; Inductions – policies and procedures; Pay; Contracts of Employment; Handling Grievance and Disciplinary procedures; Performance Management along with getting the most from your staff and What to do if things go wrong.

“The workshops are designed to provide small businesses and start-ups with a wide range of information regarding the type of support and help that they need to get started and sustain their company in Milton Keynes.”

MK Council’s ‘Small Business Fortnight’ is being run in partnership with MK College, Destination MK and UCMK. Saturday 7th December is International Small Business Day and Milton Keynes Council has established MK Small Business Fortnight as an opportunity to promote and celebrate the town’s small and start-up businesses.

The free Small Business Fortnight Exhibition will be running at Milton Keynes College’s Silbury Campus in Central Milton Keynes, with daily workshops, great advice, and opportunities to network with other businesses.
