From Lawyer to Football Coach – A New Direction for Pictons Managing Partner Sukh Saini
Sukh Saini, the Managing Partner of leading regional law firm Pictons has always cherished a passion for ‘the beautiful game’ and now that his son is a member of the Wheathampstead Wanderers Under 8s he has – at weekends anyway – decided to swap his legal skills for those of being a fully qualified FA licensed coach of youth football.
Sukh says “I’m very proud of my FA coaching badge which means I can now coach any youth team that is under 16. It was quite a demanding course with a practical assessment, first aid and a training element. The Wheathampstead Wanderers is an FA standard chartered club and like a lot of youth footballing clubs there is a huge demand for more coaches to train our future footballing stars,
“There is a massive coach training facility in Dunstable and I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to become a coach. Pictons has supported Luton Town Football Club for a long time and we have also sponsored The Hatters Cup, the biggest youth football tournament in the UK
“It’s years since I played but I have always been a football fan and regularly go to matches in Luton. I am so delighted that my son has picked up the football bug, he absolutely loves training and playing. I love being a coach and now I feel proud of the whole team.”
