Pictons Supports Age Concern Luton Charity Quiz Night

A quiz team from leading regional law firm Pictons supported Age Concern Luton’s charity quiz night and helped them to raise a much needed £500 from the event.

The event was organised and hosted by Age Concern Luton and the Pictons quiz team, aptly called Charlie’s Angels, included Laura Gajewska, Sorcha Monaghan, Lisa Murphy, Siobhan Rooney, Sarah Kane and Charlie O’Brien. They battled against ten teams of Luton’s finest, including many of the charity’s volunteers, as they competed for wine, chocolates and other tempting prizes in the charity raffle.

Siobhan Rooney, a Partner at Pictons and a Family Law specialist says “ Age Concern Luton is a fantastic charity that does truly great work in the local community. The staff and volunteers are totally dedicated to making the lives of older people in Luton so much better, especially the people who are unable to help themselves. As well as being such a fun night, the Charity Quiz was also incredibly moving, especially when we were reminded of the great work the charity does and when we acknowledged all of the volunteers in the room. It was inspiring.”

Colette McKeaveney, Director of Age Concern Luton says “It was a great night and it is thanks to local companies like Pictons supporting us that we are able to help over 3,000 senior people in our community. I’d like to thank everyone who attended our quiz night event.

“With so much competition for funds and so many great causes that need help, we are always grateful for every penny and pound we are able to raise. Our new shop in George Street has been a big success and we get some great donations to sell. I’d like to encourage everyone who shops in town to drop in and see what wonderful bargains we have there.“
