Pictons Busts Common Myths About Employing People With Disabilities In Free Seminar For The Disability Resource Centre

Pictons Solicitors will be busting common myths about employing people with disabilities at a free breakfast seminar aimed at employers and hosted by the Disability Resource Centre on Tuesday September 16th, 8.45am – 10.00am at Poynters House, Poynters Road, Dunstable, LU5 4TP

Peggy Barnard, a specialist in Employment Law at Pictons, will be presenting the seminar. She says “This free breakfast seminar is designed to support and educate employers concerning the legalities involved in employing people with disabilities. There are a lot of practical and legal issues for employers to consider around disability and we often find a culture of confusion. Our role is to clarify and offer advice on a range of topics that affect employers and people who may feel that they have a disability which prevents them from reaching their full potential in the workplace.”

Sandie Copp from the Disability Resource Centre says “We are so grateful to local community minded companies like Pictons, who support us to help both employers and employees. At the Disability Resource Centre we are supporting local businesses and our community.

“At our free breakfast seminar on September 16th, which is open to all businesses and employers, they will learn how to transform the culture and skills mix of their businesses, and how to recruit and retain people with disabilities through a range of activities provided by our Academy For Employers, an initiative which we launched in June.
A complimentary breakfast will be provided and to confirm your free place email charlotte.obrien@pictons.co.uk or call 01582 878504
