Pictons Quiz Team Triumphs at Peace Hospice Fundraising Event Hosted by Clydesdale Bank

Leading regional law firm Pictons triumphed at a fund raising event for Peace Hospice, hosted by Clydesdale Bank, when they beat 7 other company teams to win the quiz crown and a magnum of bubbly to celebrate.

The Pictons team, “the Pictons Pedigrees”, which was captained by Jacqueline Webb, Chairman of Pictons, included Michael Rees a Conveyancing Specialist and newcomers to the firm Tony Roberts, Head of Corporate, Julian Ireland, Commercial Litigator, and Danielle Messenger, a Family Law Associate. . .

Jacqueline says “As a firm we support many charities and community projects across Herts Beds and Bucks, where our four offices are based. We had a brilliant time and we were up against stiff competition, especially from other regional law firms and even a team who had beaten the Eggheads on TV!

It was a great team bonding exercise and really highlighted the talent of both our existing staff and our new recruits. The Peace Hospice does such amazing work in the community and the quiz was an excellent initiative by Clydesdale Bank to encourage companies to get involved and raise funds for such an important cause.”

The company quiz was hosted by David Clarke, the legendary international blind footballer who is also Head of Clydesdale’s Business and Private Banking Centre in St Albans serving Herts, Beds, Bucks, Essex and North London. David says “Clydesdale Bank is very pro active in its support of local businesses and charities. As well as raising much needed funds for Peace Hospice, for whom we raised £700 on the night, it was also an opportunity for us to remind everyone that we are open for business in the SME marketplace. We have funds to lend and we want to help businesses develop by encouraging them to invest in their growth and hence contribute to a growing economy from which everyone, including charities such as Peace Hospice, will benefit.
