The Great Pictons Bake Off Raises Funds For The Hospice of St Francis

The popularity of baking – and eating – cakes has proved a huge hit at Pictons, a leading regional law firm, where its staff have brought in their baked delights to raise money for the Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted.

Across its four offices in Tring, Hemel Hempstead, Luton and Milton Keynes, staff at Pictons were encouraged to bring in cakes they had made to sell to colleagues and clients. A vast array of delicious and very tempting bakes were presented, ranging from the ever popular cupcakes, victoria sponge and chocolate gateaux to more elaborate fare.

Sukh Saini, Managing Partner at Pictons said, “We have a lot of fund raising initiatives at Pictons to support the charities and communities in the areas where we are based. The ‘bake off’ is definitely one of the most popular and we’ve discovered that we have some really great bakers in company. Luckily we don’t do it too often otherwise we’d also have to hold a fund raising’ diet day’, which just doesn’t have the same appeal!”

The great Pictons bake off proved a huge hit with staff, who raised £160 for the Hospice of St Francis. Carolyn Addison, The Hospice of St Francis’ Corporate Fundraising Manager said, “It is fantastic when companies like Pictons hold events like the bake off to raise money on our behalf. It’s a very imaginative way to get staff involved and of course, everyone loves to eat cakes. Every single cake that was bought has made a difference and helped to support our work at the Hospice and in the local community. We are so grateful to Pictons and its staff for holding this event.”
